2009 Fall Wedding Color Predictions

With palm trees swaying in the breeze it’s a bit difficult to think of Fall approaching, especially on one of San Diego’s warmest days! But..now that school has started and clothing stores are phasing out shorts and tanks, to be replaced with pants and sweaters I decided to see what the fashionista’s have predicted for fall wedding colors.
Typical autumn tones will still play a part in Fall nuptials, however other very distinctive and bold shades are being forecasted. Like purple! Straight from the Pantone Color Fashion Report of Fall 2009, their Purple Heart (18-3520) will play a big part in the coming months. Imagine deep, lush, saturated shades of purple paired with honey neutrals and a dash of green for accent. What an elegant wedding.
Red is always a lovely accent color for weddings and is also one of the top ten color predictions. Red has always been a very romantic color and so much can be done with shades of sultry red for bridesmaid dresses and decor. Turquoise and greens with a hint of black are being shown in Fall wedding magazines. And the rich, yellow-green of a martini olive paired with touches of red brick as accents will add a touch of sophistication.
Keep in mind these are trends and predictions. What’s most important is that you choose colors for your wedding that reflect your personality and preferences.
